    Joe.. how did you manage to respond to David’s post before I authorised either of them?? Could it be you are both the same person with the same IP address? This posts a bit like the Viz letters page now. I for one don’t eat Bernard Matthews because it tastes like shite.

    I dont presume to be intelligent, but it is clear to me that my kids who are the focus of a lot of B Matthews advertisements are greatly at risk, and why is it that we are not told the origin of the food we eat? This company bought from Hungary, at least that is what we are told, has anyone checked the purchase invoices of this company? Someone who offers you food has a big responsibility to ensure its purity, if that is compromised should the tax payer pay for it?
    Also a person who will never buy a B. Matthews product again

    With all respect to the pressure exerted on companies to make profit… I am shocked and saddened that Bernard Matthews is recieving money from the government to cull their flocks… while it is true that no evidence is available to pinpoint the origin of the infection, the sad fact is also that we have no evidence of how many infected birds were harvested before the illness became evident. I for one will never buy a Bernard Matthews product again.
